Privacy Policy

This website and the Bienestar/NEEMA curriculum are operated by SAHRC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Teacher and staff accounts: your name, school email address, role, school, district, and the grade levels you teach — provided by your district's roster (Clever or ClassLink) or entered when your account is created.

Student records: through district-approved roster syncs, we receive the minimum student information needed to run the program — student names, grade levels, and classroom/teacher assignments. Students sign in with a first-name-based classroom list and a 4-digit PIN set by their teacher; we never collect student email addresses or passwords.

Student work: answers and completed activities submitted through the app, so teachers can track classroom progress.

Usage information: basic events such as lessons opened, videos played, and activities completed, used to understand and improve the program.

We use this information only to deliver the program: signing you in, showing the correct curriculum for your grade levels, tracking student progress for your classroom, and providing usage reports to your school or district. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or student information for advertising or marketing purposes.

Student data is treated as confidential education information. It is used solely for the operation of the Bienestar/NEEMA program, is visible only to the student's teachers and authorized district staff, and is not used to create behavioral or advertising profiles of children. Data is retained only as long as the district uses the program.

If your district uses Clever or ClassLink single sign-on, your login is handled by that provider — we never see or store your district password. When your district shares your roster with the app, it does so under your district's own data-sharing agreement.

The site uses only essential local storage — your sign-in session and your language preference. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

We share information only with: (a) the service providers that host and secure the platform; and (b) your own school or district, as part of program reporting. Clever and ClassLink are trademarks of their respective owners and are not affiliated with Bienestar/NEEMA or SAHRC.

Teachers and districts may request access to, corrections of, or deletion of their data by contacting their Bienestar/NEEMA program coordinator. We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
